Comment: it wanted to do an impression of the Vortex. dizzying speed and shifting shards thrown out from the center, winged at random into the forefront slot and swapped out at varying intervals. this bes the type of consciousness it experiences more often than not. them shards bes not demons, but shattered and splintered bits of what once had identified itself as "me" and been ... a self.
