Postcards from the Abyss - IV

this one seems to be more inspirational in concept than in execution. it bes hard findsy images for what it wants to convey here. magickians and sorcerors do ritual to contact a variety of spirits, some perceived benign, others perceived malevolent. yet there bes no need to call on one whats already there, or make elaborate preparations to attract Another's attention when They have already chosen you as Their port or vessel or Habitation ...

religion -- a codified standard of spiritual perceptions and dry bones of past half-remembered conversations with either God, one's HGA, or God through one's HGA -- typically offers a solution to feeling out of control and empty. these two things bes addressed by the religion statement with emptiness clearly taking precedence as the indication it bes "covered" actually replaces the word "control" as a product of lengthier consideration on the subject.

DansL'Oubliette (Jeremiah 29:28)
January 30, 2008 e.v.

A vital observation...
An oubliette is a type of dungeon, so Dans L'Oubliette means in the dungeon. As dungeons go, the oubliette has to be the worst kind, with no way out except an opening in the roof. There is one of these in Warwick castle in England as well as several examples in France.

The oubliette was impossible to escape from without outside help. No jumping through hoops here: one had to be rescued by another's hands, through the single light-filled space above!

Comment: it wanted to do an impression of the Vortex. dizzying speed and shifting shards thrown out from the center, winged at random into the forefront slot and swapped out at varying intervals. this bes the type of consciousness it experiences more often than not. them shards bes not demons, but shattered and splintered bits of what once had identified itself as "me" and been ... a self.

moriah bes
anatta now. can you believe Tibetan monks sacrifice their entire lives to learn how to be this?
